Yellowstone has been on my bucket list for a long time so to say I was excited to finally go there is an understatement.
I love everything about nature but I have a special love for big trees. The entire drive through I was just in awe and made Dakota stop a million times so I could get as many photos as I could.
It was raining and super gloomy the entire trip so it was hard to get good photos but that didn’t stop me from trying! Dakota kept teasing me about how weird I was about looking at the same trees for hours but I didn’t care. There is something about being surrounded by nature that makes me feel like I am a part of something bigger. It reminds me that this world including myself was all created by the same power. And that to me is amazing.
It was such a beautiful drive and we are definitely planning on making Yellowstone a trip we do regularly. I can’t wait for it to warm up so we can go camping or to drive through in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors.
There were little trails and streams and waterfalls everywhere and it blew my mind that so much beauty could be in one place. We saw elk, buffalo, antelope, snakes, deer, sheep, you name it we saw it! It was a quick day and I’m sad we didn’t go on any trails but I will be going back.
