Another week has come and gone! I can’t believe August is almost over. Like where has the year gone?? If this is your first time linking up we are glad your here! Be sure to check out the guidelines here.
What I loved about the past week
Pretty much everything this week was great. We hung out with our friends almost every day and work was a great nonstressful one and I ran a very successful Instagram giveaway! It was a simple week but I loved it.
What I learned the past week
That if I put my mind to something I can do it! Dakota and I have been really trying not to eat out as much lately and I made a goal for myself to only eat out once a week. It hasn’t been perfect but we have been eating out a lot less! We also started a dinner swap with our friends Dan and Shay this week where we just take turns making food for everyone and that has been great!
Goal for the week
My goal last week was to blog more and even though I came up with a bunch of ideas I haven’t actually put them into actual posts. SO i’ll keep working on that for this week!
What I’ve been daydreaming of
I’ve got the travel bug! No surprise there. A lot of my coworkers have been going on trips (Amsterdam, Austrailia, Spain, Rome) and one of my favorite bloggers is in Fiji so I am just dying to go somewhere! Even if it’s just Hawaii for the day that would be amazing.
What I’m looking forward to
Finding my niche. Every blogger has there own “niche” and I just can’t seem to find mine. I did a Peek Review the other day and everything was positive excpet that they thought I was a photographer not a blogger; which was flattering but not why I have a blog. I just don’t know what I want my main focus to be because I just want to write about everything! Along with finding my niche I’m looking forward to a new blog deisgn. I love mine now but it’s almost too simple and clean.
Question of the week: What is your dream date?
I would have to say my dream date would probably be anything out of the norm. I love a good dinner and a movie but doing something out of the ordinary and catered to my interests is even better. So maybe exploring a bunch of museums or a game night with friends or exploring and a picnic!

  1. This is so much fun! I love the part about finding your niche, as I have struggled myself with that through my blogging career. But the more I blog, the more I realize what I am good at and it helps me to grow in one particular direction (for me it's house and home decor, but I do love to write about everything too!)

  2. I'm still trying to find my niche 6-7 months later but I know that it'll come. Maybe post a survey for your readers and ask questions like what they like and list categories, what they don't like, what they'd like to see more.

Have a great day hun! As always, thanks for the link up! 🙂

  3. I've been blogging for almost 6 months and I wouldn't say that I've found my niche yet. I write a lot about fashion, beauty and different life style things. So I guess that could be my niche. I'm not quite so worried about finding mine because I know that if I enjoy whatever I decide to write about and others are interested, that is good enough for me. Thanks for sharing!

  4. That's a good point. The more I blog the more I realize that I kind of focus on exploring and motivation. For now i'll just stick to writing whatever I want! Thanks for stopping by

  5. Great points. I guess I feel like I need a niche in order to be successful but it's never been a competition for me. I figure I will find readers that stay around if they want to and I shouldn't change myself or my style to get more people to read. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  6. Not going out to eat so often has really helped our budgets! We have cut way back & feel like we are saving so much money by doing so. Finding a niche is hard– I enjoy blogging but I really struggle with finding time to blog/take pictures/etc so then my blog tends to be all over the place! Thanks for the link up again this week!

  7. I've been thinking about my niche a lot lately too! I think it can really help with attracting the right followers but my problem is that there's so many different things I want to write about! I am with you on having the travel bug… it's literally all I think about these days and we don't have another trip planned till May. Boo!
