Hi, I’m Lexi, a 22 year old living in Ohio. I am a new homeowner, a DIYer, girlfriend, dog lover, and a homebody. I am a lifestyle blogger over at ablissfulhaven.com where you can find a wide variety of topics ranging from home decor, diy projects, what I’m currently watching/listening to/ obsessing, and so much more.

Why did you start blogging?I love to write! Along with my love of writing, I’ve always wanted to make a difference in my life so I decided to write a blog. Once day, I hope that something I write will make just a small difference in a readers life. Or it just gives them a place to “escape reality”.

What is your niche and why did you chose that one?I would classify my niche as lifestyle. I write about a variety of things such as weekly fashion posts, home décor tours/tips, what I’m currently loving/watching/reading/obsessing, and more.

If you could spend an entire day with anyone in history who would it be and why?I would spend the day with Lauren Conrad. I love her and her personality. I admire her as a young entrepreneur and business woman. It would be so amazing to sit with her and gain advice on writing books, have a successful clothing line, and an amazing blog.

What is your ideal vacation spot?A secluded cabin in the mountains. It would be fall. The vacation would consist of hiking during the day and the night would be full of drinks, laughs, and cuddles by the fire.

Biggest life lesson learnedEverything happens for a reason. Looking back over the past 4 years, I never would have imagined that I would be a college drop-out, full-time appraisal reviewer, a home-owner at 22, in a committed relationship, and happier than ever.

Favorite childhood memoryI don’t think I can narrow all of my memories down to one. I will say that the things I miss from my childhood would be movie nights with my parents & sister, sitting around the dinner table with my family, laughing, and telling each other about our days, and all of my memories sitting with my grandpa, eating Reese cups, and riding horses together. Two years ago he lost his battle with lung cancer and I miss all our times together like crazy.

What inspires you to write? My readers. Reading their comments and kind words keeps me writing.

What does your dream day look like?Sleeping in til 8:30/9:00 and then slowing waking up while enjoying a big cup of coffee. Brad and I would take off for the day going on different adventures to new towns and finding festivals. While at the festival we would watch local cover bands play and enjoy a couple of cold ones. We would enjoy the evening on our back deck listening to music, laughing, and telling stories with each other. Once it become night time, we would come inside and watch a movie together.

What advice to you have for other bloggers?Be you & be genuine. Don’t compare yourself to other bloggers. Keep learning about ways to make your blog better and most importantly, have fun!
