I really wanted to do some pregnancy updates so when I asked my readers and friends on Twitter what they thought I was excited that everyone wanted updates too! I looked up a few other bloggers bumpdate posts and decided that they are all pretty much the same so here is the final result. If I missed something let me know and I will see if I can include it with each post 🙂 The first trimester was pretty easy so hopefully these updates get more entertaining!

How far along? 15 weeks

Weight gain: A whopping 6 pounds

Maternity clothes? Nope! But I did have to get a new bra with a wider waste band because mine was just getting so uncomfortable. After a long day at work it almost felt like I couldn’t breathe because it hurt so bad! I also got a huge hole in my favorite pair of jeans recently and I can’t decide if I should go buy new ones or just live off dresses and dress pants until I need maternity pants…

Sleep? I can’t seem to get enough! I already go to bed around 9 (I work at like 6 am) but I get really tired around 7:30pm and if I don’t sleep well (which is pretty often) I am tired all day. One day I actually fell asleep at work for like a solid 5 minutes and felt so guilty. If I could get a nap around 2pm I would be living the dream! Also I want one of those amazing maternity pillows. Any suggestions??

Best moment of the week? Seeing a little bump (sort of)! According to my lower back pain we assume our little one is laying pretty far back but over the weekend my husband and family said they noticed a little bump. You can really see it after I eat but I’m not sure if that’s a food baby or my actual baby…

Weird pregnancy symptom? I was pretty moody in the beginning (maybe I still am?) but not much other than that. When I was about 6 or 7 weeks I did cry because Dakota didn’t ask me if I had any laundry before he started a load and I cried yesterday over Cup of Noodles but thats about it! I guess I’m just not sure what’s considered weird or normal in pregnancy haha

Movement? My pregnancy app tells me that my baby can and is moving but I don’t feel anything. Sometimes I get this feeling in my stomach that I’m going down a roller coaster and I like to pretend it’s our baby doing somersaults!

Food cravings? Cup of Noodles. The other day I ate one, because we had no groceries, and I ended up eating two more because it was just. so. good. I don’t eat Cup of Noodles every day but if I get a whiff of noodles or imagine myself eating Cup of Noodles I will eat some! Other than that I basically can’t eat anything. I don’t know why but everything tastes gross except for cereal (specifically Reeses Puffs), potatoes, and apparently Cup of Noodles. #healthy

Anything make you sick? My coworker makes this oatmeal (brown sugar or cinnamon) and it is so nasty. I used to love when she made it but now I can’t stand it! I haven’t got sick enough to the point of throwing up but that is pretty close. Also meats make me sick. Red meat, chicken, fish, it’s all gross.

Gender? We find out next week! I want a boy and Dakota says he would be happier either way but I think he secretly wants a little princess 🙂 Any suggestions on how to do a cute announcement? Also I am trying to decided if I want to find out what we are having while we are in the doctors office or a little later when it’s just Dakota and I. Our first ultra sound appointment was pretty disappointing so I don’t want it to be a moment I miss.

What I’m looking forward to: Finding out the gender so we can finally decide on a name and start on the nursery! And of course all of the cute clothes 🙂

  1. I began feeling movement around 17 weeks. It felt more like digestion but when it wasn't related to eating I realized it was the baby! Actual kicks was a bit later. Have fun at your ultrasound.

  2. Ahh, I love this so much! That's so nice you haven't gotten too sick and girl, just go eat those noodles if that's what you want. 🙂 I can't wait to follow along with your cute pregnancy!

  3. I'm not pregnant or planning to get pregnant anytime soon, but I just love reading people's updates on their experiences! Maybe its research and in some way may help me one day?? Or I'm just nosy? 😉 Either way, glad you are having a pretty enjoyable pregnancy so far! Hopefully you will be able to eat more things soon!

  4. Firstly, congratulations girl! This is such an exciting time for you and your family 🙂 I love these kind of posts where you get to know a person a little more and when you add a baby to the equation, it's just perfect!.. So glad to know you are having a good pregnancy and I hope it remains this way. Hahah reading about noodles makes me hungry now 😀 Excited to find out the gender of the baby. yay! Have a great day 🙂

  5. I remember the first few movements felt like little flutters. It's just so cool! You are so lucky to not be sick, but I totally understand being grossed out by meat. I completely was, and everything smelled really bad too. Love reading these updates!

  6. Oh don't worry I eat so many noodles haha I am trying really hard to slow down on the sodium though because I do not want diabetes!! Apparently that's a thing when you're pregnant…

  7. Awww this is all so so exciting and glad to hear your pregnancy has been good, Chandler! Haha sad story about the clothes but I guess you were prepared for it, no!? So excited to know about the gender of the baby, I am sure you can hardly bare the suspense. You look so adorably cute in that picture, can't tell you have gained 6 pounds, no way. Hmmm my friends had sent around puzzles/riddles to make the announcement, I thought it was both cute and interesting also got us all involved. Looking forward to your announcement 🙂
